One of the reasons I love my job so much is because no two days are the same. Every shoot is different. Every couple challenges me in a new way to break my preconceived notions of love. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m a Disney girl. I believe in true love, Prince Charming finding love with only the guidance of a single glass slipper and happily ever afters. Really, I do. Maybe its naive. Or maybe, just maybe, a little hope is exactly what this world needs more of. My clients supply me with a never-ending supply of hope and belief that love really is a divine gift.  But Disney only scratched the surface on love and happily ever-afters, trust me. Fairytales come in all different shapes and sizes. There is no mold or recipe for love. And, truly, this is why I love the couples I work with so very much. Each of them have privileged me with a little glimpse into their love story. They allow me, for a day or two, to take a step into their fairytale. Each story is so uniquely different and so beautiful in its own right. They’re fairytales because each story is different. What people fail to realize, and occasionally even blame Disney for, is the “unattainable” aspect. Well, let me let you in on a little secret: The fairytale in the movie you watched wasn’t ever meant to be attainable! Thats what makes love so special. It is completely unique to you and your partner. No one will ever live your love story. Rejoice in that knowledge because by finding love you did in fact attain the unattainable.

Eddie + Caitlan were no exception. We took their engagement pictures at Brick Pond in Augusta, GA. We shot just before sunset. These two had such a comfortable and down to earth connection. Most couples get the jitters having to ‘perform’ in front of the camera but these two just focused on each other and allowed me to capture some images that really portray what it is that they feel for each other. It was such a joy to be their photographer and I’m beyond excited I get to photograph their wedding this coming July!
